In this role, you will provide front desk administrative support by greeting guests, answering and delegating calls with our switchboard phone system, and distribute mail throughout the office. Your specific duties in this role will include, but not be limited to:

• Utility auditing will be performed when training is not in session.

• Integrate retraining needs into the training program.

• Conduct ride-alongs to qualify technicians

• When auditing, some time is spent in the field environment with some administrative work required, and this person will be exposed to all field hazards.

Your specific duties in this role will include, but not limited to:

• Verifying previous marking for high-profile underground gas utilities

• Completing all necessary paperwork

• Maintaining daily contact with utility managers, crews, homeowners and contractors, discussing locate issues

• Receiving daily jobs via computer/device

• Prioritizing your daily work by going through all locate requests to determine routing

• Reading and understanding utility-provided maps to assist in identification of underground utilities

• Ensuring that clients and contractors suffer no damages or injuries due to mis-located utilities

• Monitoring active excavations near high-profile gas facilities and ensuring safe practices are used

• Inspecting exposed gas facilities for damage

 
Specific qualifications for the position include:

• At least 90 days of proven, gas locating experience is required.

We're currently seeking a full-time HR Generalist to work in our corporate office in Peoria, Illinois. The primary responsibilities of this role will include the management of personnel files, posting job openings, preparing internal and external promotion announcements, assisting with injury and accident reporting procedures in relation to workers' compensation, employment verifications, personal and employment information changes, and any other tasks as needed in relation to human resources functions. This is a fast-paced position where you must be able to organize your work, acknowledge and appropriately handle high-priority items with limited supervision. Accuracy, critical thinking skills, and recognizing the significance of keeping sensitive information confidential. Responsibilities:

• Generate job openings to our applicant tracking system or other external sources

• Communicate managerial promotions that occur within ELM both internally and externally

• Assist with preparing and providing reports or information pertaining to audits & testing

• Assist with accident/injury reporting and entering appropriate information into necessary systems

• Respond to employment verification requests

• Manage personnel employment file data and scan/enter/maintain such data into our Electronic Management System and HRIS software.

• Update personal or employment information in databases as necessary

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1-2 years of previous experience in human resources. Experience in a recruiting environment is a plus.
